The snakes extremely long, narrow body has
many vertebrae, and It's paired internal
organs, are arranged linearly rather than
side by side. All snakes are deaf. They have
no arms or legs. They move along by wriggling
their bodies. Snakes have dry, smooth skin.
Most live in warmer climates and spend the
winter in HIBERNATION. A few snakes have
poisonous glands. They inject this into their
prey. The rattlesnake and the cobra are two
of the most poisonous snakes.
